K2 is a multitalented, commercial Rock Band from the City of Roses, Bloemfontein, and they are currently situated in Gauteng.
The Band exists of four band members: They have played together since 2004.They have played at various festivals like: The Band was also at the Standerton Highveld Show 2007 and has featured on “Fiesta on Kyknet” and also in the following media: JIP – Volksblad, Beeld, Burger, Bloemnuus, Get it Magazine - Bloemfontein, “Die Leavelder”, Sun, Vonk Magazine, People Magazine They have shared the stage with various artists in South Africa like: Mean Mr Mustard,Prime Circle,Watershed,Parlatones,Wonderboom, etc… and have also been a backing band for Arno Jordaan and Pieter Smith. From the band debut album “Hoogste Piek”, two of their songs (namely: “Dans nou nader on Rots 3” and “Spook on Diep 6”) are nationally available. Another one of their songs “Ek hou van jou” has been listed on various radio stations like: OFM, Bay FM, Radio Panorama and Radio Laeveld. “Signs” and “Help me believe” have been played on UJFM & Pukke FM. “Help me believe” was Nr. 1 for 5 weeks on Kovsie FM TOP 30. K2 has just finished its second album and also just recently signed a record deal. The new album is being recorded by Darryl Wayne De Lange of Musicology (http://www.musicology.co.za). The album will only be in English and promises music of the highest quality. The Band also provide their own sound system and have also provided sound for shows at Volksblad Arts Festival for – Navi Redd, Lize Beekman, Anna Davel etc… and also for Prime Circle, Bok van Blerk, Bosveldklong, Jay-Cee, Quintin Prinsloo, Karlien Husselman, Spoonfeedas and many more.
